Rare CD: Re-flex "The Politics of Dancing"

For the handful of folks out there who love obscure 80s new wave dance fluff, here you have "Re-flex." But you'll have to be prepared to pay a handsome price for this dance down memory lane.

1-17-08: A used copy of this CD sells for $162.49 on ebay (2 bids). Too bad the buyer did not check Amazon.com, who has sellers offering it for as low as $60. Check now.

2-9-08: One sells for $102.50 on ebay (15 bids).
2-21-08: One sells for $102.50 on ebay again (23 bids)

I have to admit that I like the title song. When I was growing up, MTV played the hell out of that song but you never hear it anymore. I always mean to check Rhapsody or iTunes for the track.

The album was never released on CD until 1993 on One Way Records in limited quantities. I'm surprised it sells for that much.

This CD as well is available for Free Download off the internet, Google for it and see blogs, but I had to have the physical recording since I own most of the original One Way CD releases, this one completed the collection!

Shoulda' coulda' woulda' is the phrase that comes to mind, as back in '93 I was shopping in a Tower Records in Hollywood, CA off Sunset when I had this in my hands @ 11.99 and decided that I would buy this one later. Never Again will I make that kind of mistake!

Well 15 years later on May, 27 2008, I won this CD on ebay for $102.50- That's $82.50 + 20.00 for shipping to Sweden, and it was worth it, execpt for the customs toll = 207:- (SEK) which in us dollars is $ 36.00, that part was a rip off but thats the price for living in paradise.

I remember the CD going for $400+ a few years ago, I think it was Amazon but not sure, looks like the price is coming down due to the fact that there are more of these being up for sale on places like ebay.

Cheers!

I have a lot of those types of stories myself! You never really know what is going to be a hot commodity one day...and sudden reissues can change everything too. Thanks for writing...Bill
